![]() Yes. The program can make up to 4 connections to a central database. 2. Can Swift POS be connected to multiple stores via the internet? No. The program will only work on a "local" database. 3. Can the program track sales with a balance owed? i.e. accounts receivable Yes. Swift POS keeps track of invoices with outstanding balances. 4. Can the program automatically apply late fees on outstanding balances? No. Swift POS is a "point of sale" program and not a full accounting program. 5. Can Swift POS process credit card transactions over the phone or internet? No. We recommend using a stand-alone terminal or software provided by your processing company. This enables the user to take advantage of competitive rates by not getting locked into one processor. 6. Does the program have any security features? Yes. There are 2 levels of security. The ADMINISTRATOR level allows the user to access all features of the program. The USER level is restricted to access only those features associated with a sale. Accounts can be created and the users must login with a correct username and password to access the program. 7. Is there any accountability for transactions made by users of the program? Yes. If security is setup, all transactions have the username affixed to them in the database. 8. Can product information such as pricing, product description, and quantity be changed during a sale? Yes. Product names, quantity, and price can be entered dynamically during a sale. 9. When using barcodes, can the product be located for editing by scanning/entering the barcode? Yes. Products can be added to the sale or found in a search for editing using the barcode. 10. In the event an error is made, can the databases be viewed and corrected by the user? Yes. The 3 databases that hold all the program information can be edited directly by the user. 11. Can the sales database be archived or closed on a periodic basis such as yearly? Yes. The database holding the sales information can be closed or archived. Once closed, the database can be accessed for the purpose of accepting payments on outstanding invoice balances or printing reports but no new sales are allowed. 12. Can the program use any cash register drawer? No. The program is designed to open the Logic Controls CR3002 exclusively. The Logic Controls CR3001 & CR3003 will also work but will require more hardware configuration. 13. Can any customer pole display be used with the software? No. The program is designed to produce a display for the customer on a Logic Controls PD3000 exclusively. 14. Can Swift POS use any barcode scanner? The program is designed to accept standard ASCII text characters from a barcode scanner. Most barcode scanners have this capability. 15. Can the program be setup to apply tax to some products and not others? Yes. When adding a product to the product database, the user can elect to apply tax or not. 16. Can a photo of the products be stored and displayed.? Yes. When products are added, a barcode or product number must be present in order to associate a photo with it. Also, a path to the photo storage folder must first be setup in the program preferences. 17. Can Swift POS print to any printer? The program will print an 8.5" x 11" invoice to any inkjet or laserjet printer. It will also print receipts to most approximately 3" wide receipt printers. |
